The Queensland Feline Association has worked with AWLQ as part of the Stakeholder Coalition since 2004 to help develop solutions to unwanted cats.

Members of their executive have been strong advocates for early age desexing and desexing  kittens prior to sale or transfer at 10 weeks of age,  unless being transferred to another permitted breeder.

Their president has participated in many government meetings and forums supporting responsible breeding legislation. The Association has provided valuable information for the development of the Code of Practice for Breeders and assisting with the new GCCC Breeder Permit system.

They support high standards of care and keeping cats safely enclosed.
