Rescued With Love takes on small dogs from pounds/shelters or within the community, rehabilitates them, provides surgery and treatment and then finds them loving homes. We advocate for mandatory desexing, a better pound system, and better legislation for our companion animals.
G2Z Elements & Strategies:
Our community is increasing as people find us, and we are continually saving lives. We are a foster care rescue organization and assist many councils and shelters taking dogs that might not be suitable for the shelter environment.
Recent Achievements in Getting to Zero:
We will take dogs from shelters that would normally be euthanased due to age, sickness, injury or with a medical condition. Often animals will be saved and can have a better outcome in the foster home and it frees up a space in the shelter, so a win/win for everyone.
Support Needed:
Adoption, reclaim, foster and euthanasia statistics for last two full financial or calendar years:
We average around 140-150 dogs a year. We would euthanase no more than 2-3 dogs for aggression or terminal suffering, but it can vary as we often take palliative care cases at certain times – knowing they have incurable disease and still have quality of life, they will stay with us until it is their time.
