International Expert Visits

Do you have a waiting list for feline surgical desexing patients? Is your surgical suite sitting idle for hours each week? Would you like to make your business more efficient, without spending money on equipment or tech? Would you like to build your client base? Could your support staff be more fully utilised?

For many veterinarians the skills and knowledge for the humble cat spey or castration are not given the opportunity to be refreshed and upgraded once the pressures of clinical practice kick in. Not everyone is comfortable with paediatric surgeries, multiple surgeries a day or different anaesthetic protocols.

We are delivering a 2 day workshop in August 2026 with a focus on hands on training designed for every veterinarian, and veterinary nurse or technician, who works with (or would like to work with) domestic cats. You will learn how to use the tools you already have in your clinic to work more efficiently, reduce anaesthesia times, surgeon fatigue, recovery times and complications AND improve outcomes for the patient and the bottom line.

You’ll be guided by our experienced practitioner in High Quality High Volume Spey Neuter (HQHVSN), Dr Becky Morrow (DVM, Grad Cert Veterinary Forensics, Grad Cert Shelter Medicine, MS, CAWA, Assistant Teaching Professor (Penn State University), Adjunct Assistant Professor (University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine) and President and Medical Director of Frankies Friends).  We will cover theory, evidence and dry lab practical skills on Day 1, leading into surgery in a wet lab scenario on live cats on Day 2. This professional development will help you to master safer techniques backed by 15+ years of data and millions of surgeries.

HQHVSN is an evidence-based approach to a set of surgical techniques and operational practices designed to perform large numbers of spey and neuter surgeries efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care. These efficient techniques reduce time and overhead costs per surgery allowing you to increase your capacity and profitability and reduce costs to clients.

Whether you work in private practice, community animal health or shelter medicine this affordably priced workshop is for you. While we finalise details for the workshop, we encourage you to contact us to register your interest in registering for the upcoming event. There are limited places available for each event.
